The perfection of sound of this guitar makes you wonder how it is even possible to produce it out of a few pieces of wood.
It is not loud, as in 'shouting', but the projection of the sound is incredible, as is the balance. The lows are really there, singing, the middles are just right and mellow, not overwhelming, and the highs are so clear, without chirping.
What is overwhelming is the clearness of every note, every attack, every touch, you just hear absolutely everything - which pushes you to get better!
The Martin Luxe Kovar strings do their part to provide these results.
I'm comparing this guitar to two other Martin guitars I have, none of them bad, a D-15M and an SC-13E, each one has a very distinct personality and character, and even use.
The looks of the GPCE Inception Maple don't lag behind either. The burst isn't like 'in-your-face', just beautiful, combining well with the perfect golden mechanics.
(BTW, I bought a golden G7th ART Celtic Edition for this guitar and a reddish brown C.F.Martin leather strap, so it looks even better.)
It's quality all over!
The packaging by Thomann came as an additional layer of protection around the original C.F.Martin packaging, which is alreadyin very good, so there were no problems at all.
Usually you test your guitar before buying. This time I didn't. Last year, as soon as I heard about this new instrument, I read and watched several reviews, all of them amazing, and I knew I had to get my hands on one.
Thomann's money back guarantee made it a bit easier to take the risk, but believe me, there won't be any return!
