The Martin D-300 is a remarkable tribute to the storied heritage of Martin Guitar, showcasing both the exceptional craftsmanship and the dedicated people behind it.
Inspired by the ‘D3 Millionth’ guitar, this limited edition dreadnought celebrates the 3 millionth Martin guitar produced in series. Its solid Adirondack spruce top showcases the cross-section of an American sycamore tree, with rings of authentic sycamore and silver symbolising each year of the company's growth. In addition, the important moments in Martin's 192-year history are marked with solid gold dots.
On the back of the guitar, which is crafted from coveted Rio rosewood, a beautiful abalone sycamore tree pays tribute to the countless employees who have left their mark on the company's history - from its beginnings in New York City to its longtime home in Nazareth, Pennsylvania.
The D-300 shifts the focus from the Martin family to the ‘& Co.’ in the company's name, honouring the workers who make it all possible. The theme of ‘past, present and future’ is woven into every ornate detail, including an inlaid ebony pickguard with rubies symbolising each of the three Martin factory locations in the Nazareth area since 1839.
With its European flamed maple binding, gold Waverly machine heads with Liquidmetal shafts and custom brass buttons, and Liquidmetal bridge pins set with emeralds, the D-300 is a masterpiece both visually and sonically, honouring Martin's ongoing commitment to quality, craftsmanship and the workers who built the brand.
Only 30 of these guitars are available for purchase worldwide.
