I play mostly a Yanagisawa S880 soprano sax. I have always been looking for a decent sopranino, but not willing to pay the price tags from established brands. I bought the TSI-350 on the basis of the many very positive reviews on the Thomann site. I cannot do other than join to the club of enthousiast owners! My one looks very good, no blemish on the finish as reported by others. Keyword feels solid in the hands and with the standard mouthpiece/reed it is already playable from top to bottom, I would say easier to blow than the S880. After some days getting used to control intonation, which is always an issue with sopranino's, I got pretty decent results. I found a good second-hand mouthpiece and this improved intonation stability even further. Perhaps one day I will change the plastic dots on the keys with abalone or mother of pearl, but for the rest there is nothing that lets me feel I have a 'budget' instrument in the hands. I can only do my compliments to Thomann! You are really making quality instruments accessible to people!
