I bought it as a campfire guitar. Suprised by a great and loud sound, esp the upper strings. Low E lacks bottom, but the fullness of the mid and upper strings is overwhelming. Because frets&board were rough, I polished them and now it plays very smoothly. The neck is quite thick but for chord playing this is all right, esp for big hands (i have). Compared to the Taylor GP model I usually play, I find that the treble side of the HB is much better/more powerful. It is not a guitar for fast riffs but ideal for strumming. And you need not be paranoid about leaving it on the couch….
