Great Beach Guitar with built-in preamp

I bought this guitar to use it as an instrument that i can carry all the time in my car and to the beach. The overall value for money is excellent for this instrument.

The finishing of this instrument is very good, the neck is pretty comfortable (at least for my big hands). The action of the strings is a bit high for my taste, but not so high that makes the guitar too difficult to play. When played unplugged it has a mellow sound that helped me a lot with composing new songs. The built-in preamp is OK and it will do the job, but it can't capture the fullness that a normal dynamic mic would, so it sounds a bit thin and tin-like and the EQ doesn't help much to enrich the sound. It is OK for small gigs though.

For the price is definitely a good instrument that I would recommend to everyone who is seeking an affordable decent instrument for taking to the beach or outdoors.

Mooi uitgevoerde CG gitaar van Yamaha, lak vertoont geen manco's. Gemakkelijk te stemmen, te bespelen en te onderhouden. Goede prijs en redelijk snelle levering. De nalevering van een voetsteun zonder verzendkosten is goede service. Zonder Line6 G10 moet ik veel gain geven op de MG10XU mixer, met de wireless normale gain; de combinatie werkt uitstekend met een prachtig versterkt geluid op mijn studiomonitoren.

Good guitar for the price range

This guitar definitely gives you more than what you pay for. It is has a full & voluminous tone however on the other hand, the sound is high bass where tone differentiation suffers a bit. I found it easier to play Spanish style finger picking & manoeuvring the fret board as compared to my nicer guitar but again, there was too much bass for my liking and it would not differentiate notes as good as my other guitar. For a beginner, this is definitely more than a starter guitar & great value for money.

An excellent step up from a beginners instrument. My grandsons teacher was very impressed with the sound quality and volume of the instrument. Good finish and good quality materials.
We found the instrument sounded very good through my AER amplifier.
