The guitar is all that I expected. I have several guitars and wanted a reasonably priced 6 string acoustic/electro instrument. This fills all the things I wanted and it is a joy to play. The only thing I am not sure of is the type of strings it came with and I am waiting for a set of light strings to arrive, the sort I prefer. I am sure they wil nota ffect my view of the guitar

Beautiful guitar, but maybe could have better sound acoustically

I was really in love with this guitar when I first got it, it's absolutely stunning, great quality as usual from Yamaha. The size fits really nicely when playing it, I think it's great for children starting out as well. However, after about a year I ended up selling it, because I was not happy with the sound anymore, when played acoustically. After playing around with other guitars from friends and comparing I noticed it doesn't really have much bass or resonance, I assume because of the smaller body, and I couldn't stop noticing it after. I will probably end up buying one from the FG 8 series next.
