Outstanding microphone

I had the chance to shoot this out in a shop in the U.S with other high end mics including the infamous Neumanns. Tubes + Fets alike. This just has the sauce and it blew me away when comparing. For the price you pay, it punches far above it's weight. Don't get me wrong it's expensive, but similar mics can run double if not triple. Running this through a Neve 1073 pre-amp and a good analog compressor basically gives you the final product going in. Processing is pretty minimal in the DAW. It has such a perfect amount of saturation in the right frequencies and makes your voice sound 3D. It is also absolutely gorgeous to look at and is built like a tank. But make sure you get a good sturdy stand for it. The packaging is impeccable, they give you an extra tube as well and the wooden box, the power supply and the holder are all so beautiful. I have nothing negative to say. If you have the money to invest in an ultra high end mic, this one is absolutely a worthwhile investment. There's a reason why all the studios in Nashville and L.A have started using this mic in the recent year(s).

J'ai longtemps hésité avant de l'acheter, c'est un investissement conséquent !
MAIS quel gain de temps après pratiquement aucune équalisation à faire et souvent quand elle est nécessaire le problème ne vient pas du micro mais plutôt si la pièce n'est pas bonne. Il faut dire qu'il capte les moindres nuances avec aucune agressivité tout en douceur. On peut le comparer aux plus grands comme un U47 mais il a un coté vraiment classe dans la voix, je veux dire il sonne vintage mais moderne à la fois les aigus sont doux mais très très beaux la voix ressort du mix naturellement.
Il excelle sur les guitares acoustiques sur les grosses caisses c'est une tuerie à 50 cm de la peau. Je n'ai jamais obtenu une grosse caisse aussi large même avec un U47 fet. Sur les guitares électrique idem quelle chaleur !! Si je devais revendre tous mes micros et n'en garder qu'un c'est lui que je garderais !!
