The form factor is near perfect, imo. A great design, on one’s pedalboard.
if your signal chain is from right to left, and you use the looper at the end of the chain, then , yes, the AUX IO, SD card slot, and USB Out won’t be a problem, positioned on the left side panel, of the pedal.
Build quality is pretty good, and considering this pedal’s design is already a few years old, the overall quality is very good.
The switches are a breeze, the mod wheel, is a breeze, both with the foot, or the hand, and the screen is pretty pretty useful, and well sized. the responsiveness of the touch input could be better, though.
On its current firmware v5.2 , the quantization is excellent.
it’s very easy to perform clean Loops, with the Aeros.
the ability to use 6 different loops, with different tempos & time signatures is Superb! class leading..i would dare to say.
however, the inability to erase a loop after recording is really awkward.
one can Undo (once) .. Mute, or Overdub. No erase, though.
tough one to get used to.
The IO is somewhat limiting too.
there’s no XLR/combo IO, and no pre-amp
600€ for a pedal that will only work OoB with guitars and keyboards/synths is a serious investment .
if you’re a guitarist/bassist, and you want a pedal that will assist you on compositions, and/or song lists , and you’re willing to fork out the €£$…then….this is it.
if you need more IO…pre-amps perhaps, or a loop pedal as the center of your Setup…get a Boss one, then.
this is still more interesting than a Boss, though .
and the community around it is pretty good, imo.
If this was 400–450€….hmmmm.. it would be a no-brainer..
