Rode NTG5 Kit

I am doing work as a sound director, boom operator and for most of my work I am now using this one. Everything has been very satisfactory. I love the whole kit it comes with, the feel and the sound quality.
You have better shotgun mikes but you have to think 3 , 4 times the price of this one. All and all it is good enough. I use it for tv, commercials and film and I have had no complaints.
Only the cable connection from the microphone to the pistolgrip feels very thin and the connector can get loose quite easily. This feels as the weakest link in the whole package but I can wholeheartedly recommend this one.
