The pedal is build well. Does not feel cheap at all, even on par with xotic pedals. Layout is easy to understand. Yet, the sound of this pedal: Meh. I used the pedal with guitar and bass, and I guess you get what you pay for. It sounds OK at best. It was nice to use while rehearsing with my band when my HX stomp XL was out for repair. Now I have my HX stomp back the difference is sound quality is tremendous. When playing my bass the singer of my band mentioned that something sounded 'off' but she did not know what, the whole band agreed. I played one note while the pedal was on and they all went "aaaah okay that could be it". So even the audience/others can notice that the sound is off.
