Maxon OD-808

I absolutely love this pedal. Actually I got two of em, one for band-practise, one for at home.

For distorted sounds this is my always on pedal: Overdrive all the way down / balance all the way up. Tone added to taste, in my case about 1 'o clock.

I use it for metal as a boost bottom end is more thigth, single notes pop out of the mix and harmonics are way easier. Just a fair notch of extra tightness and presence that I love.

For blues kind of stuff it works also wonders on giving clean sounds a slight crunch.

This is a classic-must-have-pedal. Don't mind the price, just buy it.
