I am an oldskool guitar player. Tube amps, pedalboard, guitar. And the HX stomp is not gonna change that. At least, for gigging.
At my home studio, for reversals or some projects where I play keys and just a bit of guitar, this device is awesome! Out of the box sounds are not very useful, but spend a few bucks for a good pack, see how a good sound is built up, and use it as a base for own sounds.
Love the 6-button looper, some amps sound great, modulation, delay and reverb more than useful. Fuzz is nah... I think an impedance thing. But od's again very useful.
I see a big advantage in the XL versus the standard HX-stomp, when using it outside the studio. Makes it easy to use as a 'pedalboard'.
Really a great tool, very good value for the money!
