K&M 19695 Universal Mount

I got this product only for the purpose of converting a mic stand to a camera stand for overhead recordings with my phone.

First when i received the product though, i thought i ordered the wrong product, because the female thread was 1/4” instead of 3/8”. And i could seem to get out the “removable” 3/8” to 1/4” thread adapter. But i ended up finding out that you can take the female thread out by unscrewing the hexagon socket screw on the side and if you flip it you have a 3/8” female thread. Maybe you can take out the adapter with a certain tool but i couldnt find out how. And how to do it is nowhere indicated on the packaging and or online. So i’m righting this review because of this because this bit of instruction should be indicated. It works fine tho exept this inconvenience.

If you need an accurate way of levelling or tilting a camera i wouldn”t get this though. i would get something with level metering.

So if you struggle removing the adapter, just flip it around.
