Most of this stand is really good. I see some things that I consider should be better for the price we pay (€114 at time of writing);
- The wheels provided (11mm shaft) are really bad quality. I got a set of generic "inline skate" type for a desk chair from somewhere else. I thought the wheels that look like they are at an angle were some proprietary thing, but the shaft is actually sticking straight up once the stand is folded out and in use. Meaning any other 11mm shaft generic wheels will work!
But they really should have sold it with better wheels.
Especially if you have laminate floors, you want soft wheels.
- The singular back brace should have been a cross brace. It's the same generic part that you could find as a back brace on some closet furniture from that big Swedish store. They're low cost parts. A cross brace would give a lot more rigidity.
- It would have been nice to have a version where it also folds out to the backside, so you could stack more guitars on it in total - keeping in mind the necks and heads would still be occupying the same area at the top bar.
But this would allow you to better store electrics AND acoustics on the same rack.
What we do get, aside from the wheels, is of adequate quality from Hercules.
The separately sold expansion yokes and foam rings are cheap and a very easy install.
It is mighty handy, for me, to be able to just securely move my entire rack of guitars around - in order to vacuum the dust trap that is normally below your sensitive precious instruments on their rack!
