Good material, but be prepared!

I bought these because of (1) low price and (2) the fact that they were pre-filed. I knew nothing about replacing a nut on a bass, though, and found that I was able to remove the old nut but was not able to get the new one in so easily. I thus brought it to a repairshop who finished the job for me. The set-up of the jazz bass is now better, the sound quality didn't really change - or at least I can't detect any of that.

So if you're not so used to fixing/changing things on your bass, you're probably better off taking it to a shop to get it done as opposed to taking the DIY route.

Ongeveer de enige goede topkammen voor een Jazzbas, soms moet er nog iets bijgevijld worden, maar dat hoort zo natuurlijk.
Nooit problemen mee gehad, altijd betrouwbaar en steeds een verbeterde stabiliteit voor de bas, topproduct!

This pair of nuts are great to replace your jazz bass one. The only downside is that I've used it on a Squier Jazz Bass, which has a flat pocket for the nut, and these ones are curved to the same radius of the fretboard. You can work around it and fill the little gap in the middle, but requires a bit of work. The low E string slot if a bit larger than I expected and a .100 gauge will not fit properly on the sides. I recommend using at least a .105 gauge to make it a snug fit.

Standard Bass Saddle

I needed a new saddle for my Squier Vintage Modified 70s Jazz Bass. Someone put the top 4 strings of a 5 string set on and the saddle produced a lot of buzzing after I stringed it up with a 045 set of strings. The saddle was really easy to install. I just needed to take a hammer and put a screwdriver to the side of the old saddle. Just to make sure the old one would come out easily, I took a scalpel and scored along the edges. After cleaning the saddle slot, the new one fit in perfectly. I just used one drop of super glue just to make sure, it holds securely.
