Not quite as good as it seems

I originally wrote a much longer, and far more negative review of this bass, because I had a lot of trouble configuring it. Out of the box, it was not set up and I spent a couple of weekends getting the action, intonations, and neck right. I got it to the point where it's playable, however it took some work on my part. I also had the same problem as the French gentleman above while installing strap locks, and lost a small chunk of finish on the horn. It is a gorgeous instrument, however.

Très bon, et très beau

Tombé sous le charme de la belle en photos, le premier rendez-vous en réel a tenu ses promesses: finition impeccable, bois magnifique, ergonomie au top.
Le son est très rock/metal à cause des micros assez puissants et très ronds dans les graves. Les cordes frisent pas mal lorsque les cordes sont frettées, mais ça frise partout pareil donc c'est rectifiable par réglage.
En parlant du réglage, comme toutes les grattes que je reçois l'intonation était très fausse (notes trop aigües en haut du manche), jamais compris pourquoi mais bon c'est très facile à corriger.
Les mécaniques tiennent l'accordage de façon convenable.
J'ai un petit doute sur la durabilité du fini mat: lors de l'installation de strap locks, j'ai fait un tout petit éclat et le vernis a l'air épais et le bois dessous un poil fragile. On verra avec le temps.
