Great Cables!

These cables are perfect for pedalboard use. They are a little bulky, so not really suitable for very tight pedalboards, but for a semi-permanent installation they are perfect.

I used regular connectors on them, and they take solder perfectly fine, although you have to be cautious of the carbon wrap around the inside insulation. This is conductive and will suck every dB of sound out of the cable if it touches the centre wire.

All in all a fine cable to do custom patch cables, soldered or not soldered

I used this cable to replace all the other cheap cables that I had. It does the job and it has a convenient price. I wish I would test it against an exorbitant Mogami, but I didn't had a chance. My bet it's that this one is good enough. It is quite sturdy, but pretty elastic to move around on the stage. What I noticed, though, is that (like other cables on the cheap side) it captures noise if it's hit or thrown down or if you step on it when it is rolled down on the stage. This happens due to capacity change when mechanically handled. Anyway, you only hear the sound if the amp channel is up and you don't play anything. It is acceptable.

Not bad but could be better

The cable itself is of industrial grade quality, as you would expect from Planet Waves, but in combination with the plugs it leaves something to be desired. First of all, the process of attaching the connector with the cable tends to be sloppy as sometimes the screw that connects the jack to the wires just creates the hole in the cable but it does not menage to create the connection. Second, though both the cables and the jacks (specially jacks that look like they are indestructible) look sturdy, the connection tends to occasionally fail, which can be a nightmare in a large system. As a mean to quickly test signal path, pedal order etc. without soldering it is great, but I would be cautious with having my life depend on this product combo.
