A big thing for speech

The Shure SM7B is a dynamic moving coil microphone with a fixed cardioid characteristic that is ideal for recording speech and vocals, but it also does a great job when miking instruments. A wide, linear frequency range ensures natural reproduction of voices and instruments. A pneumatic shock-absorbing mount and sophisticated shielding prevent mechanical and broadband electromagnetic interference of any kind from affecting the recordings, so you’re all set to record without anything getting in the way!

About Shure

The American company Shure began developing microphones during the early 1930s and is one of the pioneers of the audio engineering sector. The Shure SM7B is rugged enough to withstand damage and interference, which means it can be used even in unfavourable conditions. Goed in het gehoor

Goed in het gehoor? - ja, de microfoon geeft een mooi vol geluid weer. Ook als je als dj zeer dicht in de microfoon spreekt. Oversturen kent 'ie niet, tenzij je 'm wellicht op een straaljager monteert. Kortom .... de dj kan helemaal los gaan.

Advies: zet er een voiceprocessor voor want de output van de microfoon is zeer zacht. Op een normale mixer moet de gain volledig open en dan haal je de 0db nog niet.

De must have voor in de studio

Deze microfoon is zijn prijs meer dan waard. De kwaliteit van het geluid is geweldig. Ikzelf gebruik hem icm een dbx voorversterker. De sound die het registeert is vrijwel gelijk aan hoe het in werkelijkheid klinkt. Tevens kan ik mijn studiomonitoren gerust op vermogen laten staan zonder dat de microfoon dit oppakt en dus rond gaat zingen.

Super Mic!

Gebruik:
Ik gebruik de microfoon voornamelijk voor het streamen. Daarnaast zit ik vaak voor werk in conference call/ vergaderingen. Ook gebruik ik hem voor Discord.

Positieve & negatieve punten:
Gewoon weg goede Mic. De build van de mic is stevig, je krijgt er een extra plop kap bij. Meerdere instellingen mogelijk. Wel is de output van de mic heel laag. Een microfoon versterker is noodzakelijk! Hij klinkt heerlijk!
Wel enig minpuntje als je hem aan een mic arm vast zet, je heb wel een extender nodig die Shure zelf ook aanbied om je XLR lekker aan te sluiten. (ik gebruik hem met de Blue Compass).

Heerlijke microfoon, mooi, diep geluid, kan ongelofelijk veel geschreeuw verdragen en blijft fantastisch klinken. Vooral voor heavy zangers en zangeressen geschikt!
