Vic Firth JM David Garibaldi Signature

I ordered these sticks on a recommendation from drum teacher Mike Michalkow. He said that he'd switched to them as his preferred stick.

The sticks are a well made, high quality item. Balance is equal and so is tone and weight. They are also just the right length for me and give me that little extra reach and power that I was looking for.

Delivery from Thomann was quick and to top it all their price was better than my local music shop!

As always, getting a Vic Firth stick is a good choice. This one is especially good for Funk music, as the stick is thick and heavy enough to allow for some heavy accents and also features a long taper for easier rimshots.

What I feel is a disadvantage is that the stick may be too thick for my taste, in comparison with the standard 5A. Since I play a lot of jazz I normally opt for even thinner than 5A sticks.

However, it is a signature stick and it has the "Jam Master" logo, which I think is really awesome.

These sticks are straight and built to spec. The have held up very well woth normal funk playing and plenty of rimshots. The extra length is great for ease of reach to cymbals
