Modulable grâce à son système aimanté je l'utilise sur une Sonor Artist Snare. Je recherchais au départ plutôt un "jingle" en métal -non disponible chez Thomann - mais pas facile à trouver, car je suis plutôt anti-moongel ou autres sourdines... qui au final étouffent littéralement le son. Pour moi une batterie est là pour "sonner "et c'est au batteur à adapter sa frappe pour ne pas nuire aux autres membres du groupe.
Bref, ce Snareweight est super bien conçu et utilisable aussi sur les Toms en cas de besoin.
Seul petit inconvénient le prix = un peu fort pour un "morceau de cuir"...

Das Ding lässt sich leicht an dünnen Stahlspannreifen aber auch an dicken Gußreifen festklemmen. Nur an Woodhoops wird das naturgemäß wohl nicht gehen.
Klar, man kann auch gleich ein Stück Leder mit etwas Klebeband am Fell befestigen und bekommt den gleichen Sound, aber so leicht montiert und demontiert und in der Wirkung einstellbar wie das Ding von Snareweight ist das halt nicht. Da nimmt man dann auch den Gadget Preis für in Kauf.
Das einzige Manko: Man muss beim Anklemmen ein bisschen achtgeben, dass der Magnet nicht versehentlich das Leder an dem Niet anzieht und den Dämpfer dann ungewollt in die Parkposition vom Fell weg hochhält. Auch beim Spiel mit den Besen muss man ein bischen achtgeben, dass man das Snareweightz nicht versehentlich anlupft. Das betrifft aber viel mehr die kleinen Brüder, weniger das große Modell M80. Als Gegenmaßnahme muss man dann das Leder einmal kräftig in die andere Richtung biegen, dann liegt das Leder auch wieder schön plan auf dem Fell auf.
Nicht nur an der Snare, auch großen und da besonders an sehr tief gestimmten Standtoms kann man das Wummern ganz leicht ab- bzw. fein einstellen.
Einen großen M80, einen kleinen Bruder, Moongel und ein paar Stücke Leder und Tape habe ich immer in meiner Notfallkiste dabei, da kann man fix auf die Anforderung reagieren und den Sound offener oder gedämpfter einstellen.
An der Resoseite bzw. unter der Trommel funktioniert das Snareweight hingegen nicht, denn die Schwerkraft mischt sich ungefragt ein und der Magnet und sein Kumpel, der Niet halten dann stets fest zusammen.
