Overall design is logical in terms of functions, input and outputs. It does the job on that regard. The sounds are very basic and remind me of 20+ years old Rolands, which is a bit disappointing by today's standard. The velocity only changes the volume of the sounds, with no other nuance like attack or anything and there's no way to adjust sensitivity. Maybe useful for a beginner/learner, and still it's going to be hard to develop a sense of nuance. Also: better learn the table of instruments by heart as the display just says "sound number #" with no other desciption. As for technical issues: some menus seem to have the wrong display so,etimes, depending on the combinatin of menu's you've just used. More importantly, the circuit board is not well fastened to the panel: all buttons and plugs sink into a the box a bit, and with the unit I got, there' was a rattling sound inside the housing. The volume knob for the headphones was kind of broken.
