Legere American Cut Tenor Sax 2.0

I bought this type of reed as a first synthetic one for my tenor saxophone (Yamaha YTS-280). I was interested mainly in the durability of these reeds and in the fact that they don't need to be wet.

I used Vandoren Classic Blue reeds (sizes 2-2.5) before. The sound on this Legere reed is brighter, more defined, and simply more pleasing to the ear (for jazz). The sound is not harsh or sharp. It seems very well made and sturdy, and I like the little case that comes with it to keep it safe. There's lettering on the reed indicating the cut and stifness.

In conclusion, I would recommend this product to saxophonists that want to try a synthetic reed or are looking for one that has a pleasing, somewhat bright tone for jazz.
