Have had this stand for 5 years now. I mainly use it in the home studio and usually take an old X-stand to gigs (rarely).
It's able to hold my 20kg+ stage piano (Yamaha P140) on the lower tier and a MIDI controller on the higher tier (Novation Launchkey). Shows no signs of degredation, so far. The arms that hold the keyboards in place are a bit too whobbly for my taste. It's ironic really: I came back to the webstore to buy a sturdier keyboard stand, and even though I'm not fully satisfied with this one, I'm still going for another K&M stand (Omega Pro this time).
Strenghts:
- Good build quality, strong material, no degredation after 5 years
- Foldable two tier stand
- Even though I had my doubts when first trying it out: it never failed to hold a 20kg+ stage piano and is quite stable while playing mezzoforte.
Weaknesses:
- When playing forte/fortissimo the piano shakes because of whobbly arms. The arms have not bent but are situated somewhat loose in their sockets (foldable comes at a cost).
- I think a table stand can place my piano closer to the wall (= more room for me)
- When unfolding, the arms tend to teach me a lesson about gravity by smacking me in the face (truestory).
