As an enthousiast, I own several ukuleles, from cheap to expensive, and they all have their own sound. I was surprised to find a solid acacia instrument at this price, and so I decided to order one to use on vacation.
That was a mistake. Even though the body looks nice, and the sound is nice and clear, the fretboard is so off that if you tune your open strings, the notes you play on the frets are sometimes a half note too high. Open strings are fine, but playing chords or fingerstyle is awful.
If your kid wants to play ukulele and you want them to stop, buy them this instrument. It is so out of tune that it sucks all the fun out of playing a ukulele. I put new strings on mine, so I can’t return it, but I wish I could.
