The Harley Benton BigTone is an eye-catching guitar with a lot of great features. It has a beautiful finish and plays very well, it did need a setup out of the box but when you get that right it's really comfortable.
However, there are some issues with the bridge setup that can make playing the guitar a bit of a hassle. The design is poorly executed, which can be annoying and frustrating for some players. Additionally, because the bridge is loose on the body, and the Bigsby is not really suited for this guitar, the Bigsby creates high string pressure that can potentially damage the guitar over time by pushing the bridge into the guitar. I've decided to remove the bigsby and replace it with a tailpiece. Sadly there was already an outline on the guitar top created by the downwards pressure on the bridge. Not to mention that when changing any string the bridge would move around and mess up the intonation.
Despite these drawbacks, the Harley Benton BigTone Trem White is still a solid choice for anyone looking for a great-looking guitar that is fun and enjoyable to play. If you can overlook the issues with the bridge and Bigsby, this guitar offers a lot of value for the price. Just be aware of the potential for damage caused by the high string pressure.
