Phenomenal ligature, made much more of a difference to my sound and response than I've ever noticed in a ligature change. For me, I found it is very clearly suited for classical playing, it really smooths out the edges of the sound which means its not the most effective for jazz playing, quite hard to get a raucous sound or any buzz out of.

I usually use Rovner Versa and I was trying to find a new sound out of my mouthpiece and alto saxophone. A friend of mine recommended me to buy this Francois Louis Ultimate XL and I can say I am not disappointed. Although this ligature is not my main equipment, I can say that this offers much range of sound that I never discovered back then. I like how it affects my sound positively.
