DiMarzio DP163 Bluesbucker BK

This pickups works very well for a well-defined and clear sound in the neck position. PAF-type neck humbuckers often have muddy bass, lacking mids and highs that are hard to balance. This pickup fixes those issues. Bass is tight, mids are present and highs are bright, which makes the sound from your neck pickup actually useable aften setting your amp for the bridge pickup. Some say this is voiced like a P90. I don?t really agree, but it does sound great. I have this pickup in a Gibson SG and love it! As with all Dimarzio products the construction is excellent and the price is affordable.

Sound: helder met een mooi diep laag zonder dat het blubberig gaat klinken, perfect voor in de neck positie.
Voluit een heerlijke sustain, wat gas terug en je hoort in de verte stratachtige Frusciante soundjes.

Top voor blues, funk en sorry dat ik vloek in de kerk JAZZ...;-)

This pickup has nice clarity and definition for a neck pickup, and is a great replacement in case you find your current neck HB to be too muddy/bassy.

However, the effect was not as big as the description led to believe; this is not a 'humbucking P90', just a more defined and punchy neck HB. It does not have the upper mid focus and grit that a real P90 has, which I think is the pay-off for being hum-cancelling.

Still highly recommended. Build quility is great, and installation was a breeze thanks to the included instructions.
