Best muffled bass drum reso head on the market

I have tried so many bass drum reso heads, and this one for me is the best. First because I don't have to stuff the bass with a pillow touching both heads anymore. I only muffle the batter head with a little pillow like muffling, which does not touch the reso head. This creates just enough of everything I need to here from my bass drum. The low end, mid range and hi frequencies. Also it has a perfect hole for microphone and for the bass drum to breathe. It can also be tuned high or low, it will give you what you are looking for.

I am using this head along with a clear PS3 on a 20 inch Pearl Session Birch Bass Drum. Everybody asks about the kick drum sound, in studio and live.

Really good sound, little problem...

Great sounding reso. Deep low-pitched sounding in combination with "Remo 20" Emperor Coated WH". This combo gives a short kick pulse, but it still keeps the kick tone, which is what I wanted.

The little problem is that it doesn't fit perfectly the rim of my Tama imperialstar 2009: the edge of the head is a little bit more than 20'', so I had to force-push the rim to the kick drum, this is why I gave 3 to the quality. Soundwise I have to give 5 stars.

This resonance head works for my sweet 20? bass drum. It gets a lot of punch and attack out of these little thing.

The ?floating muffling system? (i think it should be the ring inside of this head) is an additional good feature to regulate a little bass drum to get a controlled sound. The tone feels warmer and much more controlled by this system while playing the drums.

In my opinion it is especially suitable for drummers which play really fast double bass parts, e.g. in genres like hardcore, deathcore or something like that.

The incorporated 4 ¾? hole works also for small bass drum microphones.

Furthermore I used the shiny and bare finish of these head for a print on it and I was really convinced of this look.

No need for muffling

Thanks to the muffling ring inside the center of the head you can use your pillow to sleep again and take it out of you bass drum. Really great for recording and live.

Great resonant kick drum head

I'm a fan of Aquarian kick drum heads for some time. I bought this drum head to replace an older Regulator hear that got accidently demaged.

This drum head in combination with the Aquarian Performance 2 beater head make my 20" Birch kick drum sound really punchy without using any dampening material inside. It sounds punch without sounding too dry. I absolutely recommend it.
